Gamer Academy is an interactive 2 day workshop where attendees learn about and experience many different areas of gaming. Learn directly from highly qualified and accredited instructors and hear from industry experts on what makes a great game, how to play, what is E-Sports, how to make it a career and much more. The Gamer Academy is educational, entertaining, fun and engaging.

Gamer Academy bring your own device specifications

Working from your own device allows you to feel more comfortable working with the program in the Gamer Academy workshop. You use your device daily and are familiar with it, this allows for faster learning and less pressure to learn an unfamiliar system on top of working with new programs. By working at the Gamer Academy on your own device, you will be able to take your work and what you create home with you!

Below are the systems that will be needed to support the software

Operating System: Windows 7 SP1+, 8, 10, 64-bit versions only; macOS 10.12+

Processor (CPU): Intel i3/AMD equivalent or greater

RAM: Minimum of 4GB. 8Gb or greater is recommended

Graphics Card*: Needs to support DirectX 10 (shader model 4.0)

Hard drive space: At least 30Gb free


*Most graphic cards from the last 10 years will support DirectX 10. Most current laptops from the past three years with integrated graphics should also support Direct X 10.
